Misaligned teeth can be troublesome, not just for your looks but also for your dental health. Besides, having badly-aligned teeth can sometimes lower your confidence levels while smiling. So, why not get them treated? After all, your smile is your most beautiful aspect.
The Six Months Smile treatment is an orthodontic treatment that helps realign your teeth and give you a straighter and beautiful smile The main purpose of the treatment is to correct the alignment of the front teeth. It’s similar to how braces work. However, with the Six months smiletreatment, dentists try to use the tooth-colored material that doesn’t make your smile ugly like the usual braces.
It’s a different concept but not something that’ll cost you a fortune. Don’t worry, the six months smile treatment would cost you reasonably.
Here, check how much.
You can get a six months smile treatment at an affordable price from a trusted dental care clinic.
You’d be happy to know that the cost of this life-changing treatment ranges between £2500 to £3800 dental clinic in the UK. However, the prices depend upon each individual’s case. It is NOT suitable for anyone under the ages of 18. If you are getting both upper and lower teeth aligned through this treatment, you might have to fork out more. Contrarily, if you are getting only one set of teeth aligned, it would cost you comparatively lesser.
Within the quoted price, your dentist will provide you with everything; from your orthodontic treatment to all adjustment-related visits. You won’t have to pay anything extra. All X-rays, fixed/ removable retainers, follow-up visits, and more will be covered in one consolidated price.
If you are an adult of 16 years or older, you are absolutely ideal for the six months treatment. However, we would advise teenagers aged below 16 and children to not opt for this treatment.
You can get the six months smile treatment if you are facing any of these cosmetic dental issues:
Extrusions
Rotations
Intrusions
Tipping
Misaligned teeth
Diastemas and spacing in the front teeth
Overlapping teeth and crowding
A piece of friendly advice, don’t Google these issues and sign up for the treatment. Consult a professional dentist and let him/her examine your dental issues and further suggest the right solution.
How Does Six Months Smile Work?
Six Months Smile treatment works similar to regular braces.
The first step to getting the treatment started is to consult with trusted dental care in the UK and seek advice. One such notable dental care clinic is Natural Smiles, where dentists give effective advice to the patients after carefully examining their teeth and the type of misalignment.
Six months smile is not just convenient for you but also for your dentist. It’s comparatively easier to fix it than braces.
When you sign up for the six months smile treatment, your dentist will take an impression of your lower and upper sets of teeth. The impression will be sent to the laboratory, where a custom tray will be prepared for you. The process takes 1-2 days in total. So, after you give the impression of your teeth, you’ll be given a second appointment.
On your second appointment, the dentist will use your custom tray to fix the six months smile braces on your teeth. The braces must be fixed correctly in the first attempt itself. Though trusted dentists are well-versed with the procedure, you might have to revisit your dentist once a month for readjustment.
The treatment usually takes six months to show effective results. However, every individual’s teeth are different. Therefore, your treatment can take less or more than six months as well.
Yes, that’s an important question.
To answer you, we, at Natural Smiles, often advise our patients to clean their teeth thoroughly when they have their six months smile braces on. You can request your dentist to teach you how to clean your teeth properly during the treatment.
Check the below-mentioned steps for an effective technique to brush teeth properly during the six months smile treatment.:
Rinse your mouth with water carefully until all food particles are dislodged.
Start brushing the gum line, first upper then lower, at an approximate 45-degree angle.
Start brushing the teeth after this, by angling the bristles of the brush downwards to reach every corner around the brackets.
While brushing, keep repositioning the bristles to reach the underside of the wire and the bracket.
Finally, rinse with water, and you are good to go.
You’ve learned how to brush your teeth properly while the six months brackets are on. And your six months are on the verge of ending. Your excitement levels must be rising at a speed greater than the lightning’s speed.
So, now what next?
Well, now, you should go to the retainers. It’s generally advised that after any orthodontic treatment, the patient should get retainers to help the treatment sustain.
You’ll revisit your dentist after your treatment period ends, and get the bracket removed carefully. Your dentist will then replace the bracket with the retainers to keep your newly-straightened teeth intact and adjust in their new space.
You can choose from two types of retainers:
A permanently bonded retainer. It will be attached at the back of your teeth.
A removable retainer, which will be temporarily adjusted to your teeth.
Though it’s the patient’s choice, we’d suggest that you let your dentist decide which retainer would work best for you.
Smile rightly! Smile brightly!
