Dental Assistant’s view

I spent the week of the 27th June 2011 working alongside Dr. Bhavnish Waghela at Natural Smiles, carrying out dental nurse duties.

I am a fully qualified dental nurse and normally work as Welcome Team Manager at the private practice. I thoroughly enjoyed my week nursing, and it was a nice change to have the opportunity to do something different.

I got to assist with some treatments that I hadn't experienced before, as I have previously only worked in NHS practices.

All I can say is 'wow, what a difference.

The time and care from Bsh that went into the patient's treatment was greater. Right from the moment the patient entered the surgery until they left. Each patient left the surgery very happy with the treatment that was received. It also made me feel very happy, knowing that I created a perfect smile.

I must say I am very impressed with the CEREC we have at Natural Smiles; it is such an advantage to our patients. Patients receive their crowns within a few hours, or even within an hour, rather than over 2 or more appointments, and while we are doing it, they get a crown. I was very intrigued to see how it all worked, as I had used it. Before, the product was amazing, and I loved taking the patients to show them how their sweaters were made. This improved the patient experience, and they were also delighted.
