Loose and Painful lower dentures

I was talking to a patient a few months ago who commented on the fact that his lower teeth are loose and he was not able to wear his lower denture.

His main concern was that as a ‘food’ he wasn’t able to enjoy eating. Even though this was helping him lose some weight! I suggested that we remove his remaining 5 lower teeth and eventually make a denture that is held by implants.

After 3 months of treatment and fitting his lower new implant denture, he came in to tell me that this was the best money he ha ever spent. Whilst out to dinner with some friends, he commented that is new teeth were so solid that he told his friends that ‘he could eat through the table’.

I am still surprised when I see how dental implant dentures can transform people’s lives.
